I really do want this but I am holding off for now.  Since this is his first version of this skillet, I am going to wait and read the reviews. Maybe Geoffrey will redesign it to where the skillet is detachable and able to be immersed for hand washing (similar to the Crock Pot revisions over the years).

Not sure a round design is better than a square design either. Any thoughts on this?

My old Hamilton Beach electric skillet is a few meals away from being "spent."  I'll just wait it out for now because it is an item I want, not need.  Hopefully, there will be a 2.0 version as a TSV in the near future.

Get a large square or rectangular one if you intend to make bacon in it.  Much less frustrating.

I am not a fan of GZ or this pan, A pan this size should come with a removable insert for easy cleaning. Wiping will not remove grease well if you fry in this. Also GZ is going to keep on selling everything from a $55 cooked chicken to olive oil on QVC because people will buy. I don't know any of these rich people but be my guest. David does love him for some reason. His cooking is too fancy for me. He seems to be a very nice family man.Enjoy your pan and chicken.

Am considering this TSV even though we're empty nesters.  Received a large stainless Farberware electric skillet as a wedding gift 52 years ago, and I used that thing to death with a family of 5.  Even returned it to Farberware for free repair when one leg snapped off while I was washing it.  Back in those days non-stick coatings weren't around, but I still used that skillet several days a week.  This TSV looks similar but no tall legs to break off and an easy non-stick coating.  Using an electric skillet keeps grease splatters off your stovetop--love that.  Not usually impressed with Q's TSVs, but this one seems a winner.

I guess this would be useful if I didn't have a stovetop, or the burners were inadequate. But my stove works fine. I can't really think of 1 thing this does, that my stove doesn't already do... To me, it's Just another gadget to store.

He is sure on a lot and with so many different items.  David acts like he is royalty.  Wonder how long GZ will be on QVC.

My thought is Chef Zakarian is Q's new star as Curtis Stone is to HSN!  Although, I bought WP new elite frypans and they are much better quality than CS Durapans.

The chefs come & go fast on Q just like LeCrueset was last year's craze...

I think ITK shows will soon be replaced with more overpriced beauty, fashion and so called "influencers" products...

We are empty nesters too. I bought the pan and I received it yesterday. Its nice. We had gone to Costco yesterday and I bought a rotisserie chicken. I kept it warm in this. It did keep it warm. I know that I will use it a lot..

Re: K50030 Geoffrey Zakarian electric skillet

I was at walmart and saw where the Presto brand has a pour spout at the corner and snapped it up, that's what I've been wanting. Presto, is the only one I saw that has the pour out the grease in it.

gonna make fried pies in mine , too.
