i ordered these as I have the original set (about 10 yrs old) and they are really starting to show their wear although they are still semi-nonstick I opted to try this set. I read the 2 reviews yet I'm not sure if I've made a mistake ordering them. I've looked at the open stock Caphalon (which I have the fry pans) but geez I'm not sure I want to spend $150 on 2 pans. Any suggestions or do you have this technique set. Thank you

I have QVC's technique HA cookware and most, but not all of the pieces look awful. The coating is worn off and the outside is now brown and ugly. QVC will not honor their lifetime warranty to replace them for me. I also own MACY's HA cookware and Caphalon and a few other pieces made by others. Most of it did not hold up well. I am back to using my stainless steel Revereware that is 41 years old. It still looks nice and still cooks great. I have a set with the SS bottoms and a set with the copper bottoms. No more HD cookware for me. It's expensive junk.

Thank you Carmie for your reply -- I ordered & cancelled, then ordered again (after seeing how much single items were in Caphalon, Cuisinart, etc. - I figured I could donate my "old" set and update with new pieces)....WELL...my longtime friend (A Q shopper also) and I were on the phone last nite and i asked her about her HA from Technique, a recent purchase of a year -- thumbs down on that one!

So I cancelled the 2nd order. Guess I'll just continue to use my original HA which the outside coating is coming off yet the insides are fine!

The same dilemma I had. I have several boxes of JUNK CE in the basement. At Xmas time I ordered a set of Calphalon Contemporary from Macy's. List was $399 with discount sale and special on the Macy card the 11 pic set with two xtra pcs. Cost $243. Good luck!! PS, have been very happy with the Calphalon pcs.
