Re: Just Crack An Egg...Very Good!!

@JeanLouiseFinch

Yes, I read about natamycin as a mold inhibitor. But if it is a drug used for humans for certain health conditions, it is still a drug, and something about that makes me uneasy--about the same as knowing that animals who milk and meat we consume are given antibiotics.

I'm a queasy sort when it comes to this sort of thing.  Perhaps I shouldn't be.  There sure isn't a lot I can do about it very well.

We encourage people to prepare their own scrambled
eggs in the morning. Instead of adding cured meats
and cheeses, both high in fats in sodium, how about
sautéd veggies such as onion, bell peppers, and cherry
tomatoes?

Re: Just Crack An Egg...Very Good!!

I’ve been thinking of looking for these, primarily for my husband.

Anyone who has one, can you give me an idea of calorie count please?

@suzyQ3- thanks very much for posting that for me. 180 calories isn’t bad at all.

@gidgetgh, not that it makes a big difference, but I just realized that I don't know whether that chart includes the egg you add.

Re: Just Crack An Egg...Very Good!!

I tried them twice and they were ok, but kinda expensive when you have to add your egg.  I do low carb and it is perfect for a low carb diet, but I think I'll stick to scrambled egg w/cheese!

Re: Just Crack An Egg...Very Good!!

I just about can't handle eggs anymore.

I've never been in love with them, but in the last decade or so, a fried or scrambled or even poached egg makes me feel about half sick to my stomach after eating.

I still like the taste well enough. I guess I kind of like eggs, but they don't like me.

Re: Just Crack An Egg...Very Good!!

Mom favored the one with sausage, and the one with ham.   I have those 2 on my grocery list to buy for her again.   She loved the convenience, and said with toast and coffee, it was a nice breakfast for her.
