When I eat a doughnut it's plain old fashioned cake. The ones with sprinkles, frostings and fillings just don't do anything for my taste buds. I don't have a favorite brand and the chains like Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme don't do the plain doughnut justice with their overly sweetened versions. I most often will buy one from a local bakery, or the bakery department in a grocery store (if they bake on the premises).
