Fried Chicken is my first of 2 favorite foods, the other one is NC Eastern Style Pork BBQ.

I just love wings.

I love watching Triple D, when Guy goes to a restaurant and they are frying chicken.

Here is a recipe I found on the net: Soak the chicken pieces, overnight in a brine, then soak it in buttermilk, with a little hot sauce for 5 hours. Then dredge it in seasoned flour and fry it in oil/bacon grease.

I made it w/o the bacon grease. Make sure you get off as much of the buttermilk as you can before dredging it in flour. The chicken tends to get too dark when fried if you don't.

I heard Gordonsville, VA is the Fried Chicken Capital of the World.

White meat is 1st choice but do like chicken drummies and boneless thigh meat for soup recipes.

Breasts and Wings for me, thanks. I never fry chicken at home. There's a restaurant in Shipshewana, Indiana called The Blue Gate that serves an Amish family style meal. The fried chicken there is the best I've ever eaten. I don't know how they do it, but it's pretty incredible fried chicken.
