Jersey Mike's, Good, Bad or Meh?

A town near us is a getting Jersey Mike's.  I was just wondering if they would be worth a try.

You can't swing a stick around here without hitting a place that has subs. Most are not memorable.

Yeah or nay?

@CrazyKittyLvr2   We have one although I've never been there.  I've heard good things about it.  I've thought I'd try it as it's almost impossible to get a good sub in New Mexico; we're not sub country.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 The one near us had very good subs.  I haven't been to subway in years however, so maybe my opinion is not good.  We haven't had a sub since covid and retirement.

The bread they  use is very good. The sauce they have to add on is good if you like an oil based topping. More pricey than other places but if you sign up for their emails they often send discounts. In fact i received one today.

I like Jersey Mike's. I like #7 turkey and provolone sub. They don't skimp on anything, at least the we go to.

They're probably my least favorite sub shop. Their sandwiches are kind of plain Jane.

What I remember are sandwiches with good amounts of meat and cheese (as you like), fresh veggies and toppings, made to order in front of you and as others said, good bread.

And the place always looked clean, and I never got a headache from eating there--like some places that have ingredients and preservatives not friendly to me.

Our son arranged to have Jersey Mike's subs delivered to his wedding location so that the bridal party and families could eat after getting settled there, but before putting on their wedding clothes.  I thought the subs were very good.  This son is particularly picky, so it says a lot that he likes them.

We eat there usually about once a week, so obviously we like it.  DH is on a diet right now and it's one of the few places he has found that works into his plan.  You can get a bowl rather than a sandwich.  No, he's not doing low carb, it's more about the calorie count.  We haven't been to a Mexican restaurant since he started this diet and I want it sooo bad.  Anyways, he likes the club incuding the bacon.  I go for either Tuna or the Italian.

They even know our regular orders now.  And if you don't want the "sauce" they'll leave it off.  It's just oil and vinegar and that's what they call it in our store.  They also have a points program so you can get $ off your meal after you've built them up.

Their special dressing is like crack to me. I eat there often enough and amass enough Shore Points that I regularly get free subs.
