Did anyone catch IKWD last night? I was watching the TSV being presented during the day, and I think every host had a taste of the wine.
But last night Jill did not ever taste the wine, nor did he offer her a taste of the wine. And I thought I heard her say that she liked white wine.
Does anyone think this was odd? The only host that did not sample the wine. I wonder why??

I don't find it odd at all. Perhaps she doesn't drink and was saying she likes white wine as a sales tactic. Perhaps she doesn't feel comfortable drinking alcohol on air or on the job.

I don't think that's odd at all. Lots of people don't drink much or at all for many reasons.
I like cocktails and ciders, but I also have a metabolic intolerance to alcohol and some types affect me more than others. I can usually drink one rum cocktail, but I can't make it through a bottle of beer/cider or a glass of wine without starting to sweat uncomfortably and turn red. One cocktail also gets me pretty buzzed and I don't even drink one unless I'm not going to be driving for at least 3 hours. I probably average about 4-6 alcoholic beverages a year.
So while I do like them, I don't drink alcohol often and would never do so on TV.

I'm allergic to something is SOME wines. I break out in a sweat immediately and my face flushes. Not all wines do that but some do so I am very careful. I mean two sips and I have the flop sweats.
I admire her for not drinking on air. No point in it unless you are Hoda and Kathie Lee. Not sure what that point is either! LOL!!

I don't drink any type of alcohol so you wouldn't catch me on or off camera doing it just to sell it. To be quite honest, I haven't met many people who don't drink alcohol of any kind.

It sounds like you have the same thing I have, @Sooner.

She might just prefer to not drink at all while on air.

When it comes to alcoholic and even food products, I really don't care whether the hosts taste or not. I understand why most do taste, but I don't learn anything from their tastings that influences my decision to buy or not.

In the morning Dan laughed and told his wife she would have to be the designated driver.
Perhaps Jill wisely chose not to taste the wine because she had to drive home. A smart decision. I know I would prefer not to sample alcohol while on television in front of millions of people. I might go "off script". (Actually I don't drink at all.)

Ok, you guys, you do know that we are talking "Sipping" the wine right??
To sample the wine, it would involve 2-3 sips.
I have to laugh that some people would think that she wouldn't want to try the wine, on air, because she has to drive home???
Are you kidding me??
