Good Morning,

I am bringing a side of Italian green beans to Christmas Eve and I thought I'd ask the master chefs here how you season it?

I usually go traditional with olive oil and garlic and the usual Italian spice blend.

But does anyone do something more unexpected with theirs?

A nice tomato sauce

@I am still oxox Really? I would have never thought of that. On the side, or do you mix it in?

Those beans have a divine flavor!     I would only season them with browned butter.

Re: Italian Pole Beans

[ Edited ]

@Laura14    I made a dish called crack green beans for our Thanksgiving potluck.  The sauce is brown sugar, butter, and soy sauce.  You can add bacon. Very easy and there was none left.   It's not Italian, but it's an option.

If you're going with Italian, I'd keep it simple with your original recipe.

@Desertdi I thought of that. Not everyone is Italian these days at our gathering, so I was considering keeping it really simple like that.

@Laura14 I always add a little bacon.

@Laura14 You mix it in. I have done it with both beans and zuchinni
