Is there a dish you once made often............

but no longer do.  A very long time ago I bought a Naomi Judd cookbook.  No idea why, don't listen to country music and never watched her. However, I do love cookbooks.

Only thing I ever made from it was her Sweet Potato Casserole. I was great. Has a streusal topping.  Everyone liked it.  My Mom and my niece's husband, loved it.  Mom wanted me to make it for every, and I mean every holiday. I put my foot down at 4th of July, seriously. Had to make alot because they wanted some leftover.

After Mom died I think I made it a handful of times.  I had made it so much I didn't care if I ever saw again. I gave the cookbook away years and years ago.  Everything is on the net.

Lemon meringue pie.  The diabetes diagnosis put and end to that tasty treat.

Oh yeah!  For me it's homemade mac&cheese, crunchy on top, tangy cheese.  Family used to gobble it up.  No more.

The cookbook came out in 1997 I think. Mom died in "06".  For 9 years every holiday and just family dinners, bring that dish.

Don't get me wrong, I was happy everyone liked it, but to me sweet pot casserole is a Thanksgiving/Christmas thing.  It is sweet and Mom loved her sweets.

I used to make a delicious Greek dish with Shrimp, Feta cheese, Tomatoes and spices.  I served it over rice.  SOOO GOOD.  My husband does not like Feta cheese or Tomatoes.  Oh well !

It may sound silly but for me it is milk gravy and biscuits. I used to have it at least once a week with fried pork chops or country fried steak but no more.Smiley Sad(can you tell I'm a country girl) It has probably been 20 years since I made it.

@grandma2pkmh  You reminded me that I don't make sausage gravy and biscuits anymore. No idea why.

DH loved it, so did I.  DD not so much. Used Bob Evans sausage in the plastic roll. Not greasy at all.  Simple to make.  Sadly, terrible for you.

Yes, a couple of appetizers.  I used to make clams casino and a baked caprese.  Honestly, I can't remember the last time I made either one.

For years I made jello salads. I kind of miss them, especially the one with black cherry jello and bing cherries. And one with strawberries, sour cream and strawberry jello. Yum!

I used to make Stay-a-Bed Stew from the I Hate to Cook Book. The recipe starts with a can of tomato soup. My kids grew up on that stew. But I've gone on to other versions.

We used to eat far more pasta and bread than we do now.   Pasta is a special treat, and meals with bread are planned several days ahead.   Pizza is another food not found here very often.
