I can't find the answer to this anywhere and I hope one of you has both pots and can answer!  I've never seen the two together. . . I have soup pots in two sizes.

Also, if you know of glass lids that fit LC pots, I'd like a definite answer to that mystery too!  Thanks a bunch for any wisdom you would impart!

@Upper East side Girl I was asking about two different Le Creuset pots--the Soup Pot and the Chef's Oven.

The chef's over has rounded sides...shaped like a broad soup bowl....unlike the pot shown today which is straight sided.

The chefs oven is great for soup becuase it's made for stirring the contents wiht a wooden spoon or wide spoon along those curved sices.

I think the description is interchangeable. The chefs oven IS the soup pot!!!

(I say this because if you Google each term, the chef's oven comes up. Even on thier website).

LC has glass lids on thier website for various size pots!

Ebay has them too!

@Othereeeen I know Le Creuset has glass lids, but apparently they only fit the metal pans.  I'm talking about the cast iron pots and I don't see any that SAY they fit these.
