I watch the food shows just to see what is presented. Then I get turned off by the unwarranted, ridiculous pricing. Especially when they show the frozen lobster tails. There is no way, shape or form that they can justify the pricing. Total rip off. Ridiculous! I use to purchase the Mrs. P.'s apples for the holidays when they were on sale. Don't do that anymore. My husband did purchase the pot stickers once. Never again! We cook and bake at home. We don't eat processed meals. Don't really know what is in them. And some of the items David presents just look disgusting. Who ever makes the chicken and square dumpling soup in a bag...gag me with a spoon! Then there was that disastrous Piecaken. Sloppy mess! Nope, don't purchase prepared foods off of the tv. The prices are totally out of controll for what you recieve. That includes the convience of having it delivered to your door.

Most of the food is just too expensive for me. The only thing I have ordered is Mrs P's apples last Christmas and they were really good. I used to make my own, but don't have the energy anymore. It is quite a job. I made my own cinnamon sugar pecans, crushed them, made the caramel apples and rolled them in the pecans......good!
Then I ordered the Moose Munch, coming in Dec. Still don't know if I'll keep the order. It must be a new product because there are no reviews. Maybe I'll be a guinea pig??

Well, but you (the OP) wouldn't know about some of the food things you buy unless you'd seen them on TV (I guess).
But I do get tired of watching people shove food into their mouths and go 'yum...yum'!
After awhile I do change the channel, like the OP, it does get old!
I do think they should have way, way more kitchen gadgets/items.
The food sales have gotten way out of hand (in my opinion). There must be a lot of money to be made with these because they sure do sell a lot of food stuff every single week! (Again...ugh).

Keep in mnd when you're buying all that overpriced food, that you're paying for each and every person who wasn't happy with a food purchase, and was issued a refund for something that they never had to return. That inflated prices covers all those returns.
