I buy quite a few QVC foods, and we love them, but I have to say when I tune in to In the Kitchen, and it is all food, off goes the station and I'm on to something else.
I feel they already have Gourmet Holiday shows quite frequently and all year long, and that is enough for me. Q seems to be adding more and more food vendors all the time. At the same time, the actually new and different offerings of kitchen wares seems to be going down. The same brands and items over and over, just reconfigured or updated.
So I'm voting for more new things in In the Kitchen, and pulling back on the food products, especially times when the whole show is just food.
The food is never as good as they make it seem. At least that has been my experience in each food item I ever ordered, from crab cakes to cheesecake to I can't remember what. I have no interest in food items any more. (The only thing I might be tempted to order would be that cheesecake Isaac promoted once with a plaid design on top when he was heavily into his plaid offerings!)
QVC does from time to time offer very useful gadgets. I love some of the Kuhn Rikon things, like the jar opener that I use several times a day, and the tab top opener, and so on. This is not food-related, but I think those slim wire picture hanger hooks I first learned about on QVC are amazing.

@GingerPeach I still buy those hooks on Amazon. I bought them for the first time on the Q years ago for a ridiculous amount of money. You can get them now for much less elsewhere (including Amazon.)

Count me in. I feel I can get better quality locally and better prices online elsewhere. Further, there I've tried items and liked them, the second shipments are often lower quality. But even if I liked the items, I'd still not want to listen to those presentations.

I'm not a fan of the food shows either. It amazes me the number of food products which are sold. I realize part of the higher price is the included shipping cost which is much higher for those items. When I figure out the per pound price of items I can go to the grocery store much cheaper - if I want to have more in my freezer(which is always part of the sales pitch) I can just buy extra and still come out way ahead.

Between the hosts and the callers, I can’t handle the endless chatter of on air presentations, so I view all products online.
It seems odd to review the offerings of an In The Kitchen show and just see food items. Everything I see just seems to be the same old stuff.

Hi @faeriemoon
Not to worry, I stocked up a while back (from amazon). My point was really more that QVC has the ability to introduce us to clever gadgets that we might not find unless we happen to be tuned in during a presentation. (Although I suppose that's kind of hit or miss, too.)
Thank you, though!

There are so many choices now, I don't see how QVC successfully sells so many food products.
Meal subscriptions are supposed to be a trend now.
Plus there's grocery delivery almost everywhere.
I live in an area near a large metro city and we usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to anything new. Our zip code is not that desirable but we now have several restaurant deliveries available plus our local Publix will deliver and we have grocery pick-up at the local Walmart.
I can't see me ordering any of the overpriced QVC offerings.
Like another poster mentioned, it can't all be as good as they make it.
In the past, I've been sent gifts of foods (not from QVC) and been disappointed.
Fresh & local is best for me.
When all else fails, there's Nutrisystem!

I wasn't impressed with any of the food items that I've ordered....so I just watch something else when food is on...

I have also noticed that poor old David is showing the results of his happy dance. I'm sure he has to eat like a cow and even say it's good when it really isn't - after all, it's his livelihood to hype us up to buy. He is risking his health and the Q should value him more than having him show all this food. He is actually eating his self to death.
Come on Q!! Give us our ITKWD back when he had the gadgets we like and bought......
"The Q should value him more....etc" ? ......David is a grown man who is paid to do a job and if he is eating "his" self to death than that is on him.
He should compensate in other areas of his life......more exercise, very healthy eating, stop getting Chinese takeout on Sunday night, for example.
But those are HIS choices and have nothing to do with the Q.

I don't ever sit down and watch a show but I do ,on occasion, have some show ,presenting items in which I may have an interest ,on as background while I am doing something else.
I HATE shopping but I love food....and the Q stands behind it all. So, while
ITKWD was on, I bought lobster tails, mini cheesecakes and hand pies . I didn't care who the sales person was or whether or not they liked it.....I only cared about whether or not the item appealed to me..
ETA------I thought Martha S's turkey dinner was one of the best meals I have ever had....hope it is offered again this year.
