Is There Such a Thing as a No Carb Dessert

Due to the weather we are celebrating the 4th on Sunday. Both my daughter and Son-in Law are on a no carb diet. They are doing great, but I always feels bad when they come because they can't eat the desserts I make. I googled but didn't really find anything. Any suggestions.

You can make cheesecake with no crust--No carbs, but still very fattening!

Cool Whip has 1 carb per T. I think it is real whip cream that the low carbers eat.

I used to have a fantastic low carb mousse recipe. It called for Sugar Free instant pudding and ricotta cheese I think. It was really rich. Then you can top it with real whip cream. It was good plain though. You might do a search for a recipe like that.

Low carbers eat sugar free jello. That's not much of dessert for me though. LOL

Sugar free jello has no carbs. Different flavored layered in a glass container topped with heavy whipped cream. You can whip egg whites with Spenda and a little vanilla or chocolate power into stiff peaks and drop by spoonfuls on parchment and dry them out in a warm oven. Buyers makes a VERY good low carb ice cream called Carb Smart. It has 3 to 4 carbs a serving depending on the flavor. It can be found at Walmart.

Low carb or NO Carb.

Blue and strawberries are on the lower end of the carb ladder and many low carbers eat them

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

You can make sugar-free meringues with egg whites, Splenda, and flavor such as vanilla or almond, or even cocoa. For another time you can buy the sugar-free variety from Miss Meringue online - they're delicious.

Basically you whip egg white, slowly fold in Splenda and vanilla. Pipe onto a parchment covered cookie sheet and bake in a low oven.

I hope you mean low carb or that you are removing simple carbs from your diet cause complex carbs are essential for life. First, you know nothing about nutrition or a low carb lifestyle. That's okay. You need a good book on the subject before you begin. Sugar free j e l lo with berries and fat free whipped topping, real Greek yogurt with berries, melons of all types, I'm addicted to red grapefruit sections that come in hard, whole grain crackers with a smidge of sugar free peanut butter. Buy any low carb book and you'll find suggestions.

Does this count? This is is a recipe I found on Facebook. While I am not counting calories, I thought I'd try it because I sometimes lose control when it comes to cookies and I do know we all should cut back on the sugar we consume. When I make this again, I will either add a little bit of maple syrup or some honey because I prefer more of a sweet taste. Unfortunately, using this tablet means it will all appear as one paragraph and I can't use my tablet because of some request for a QVC survey plops itself over the page so I can't use it to read or reply at all to posts. Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe When you have a sweet tooth and want to stay on track, here's a nice treat. Sugar is NOT an added ingredient. AND they are egg-less, dairy-less, and flourless. 3 mashed bananas (ripe) 1/3 cup apple sauce 2 cups oats 1/4 cup almond milk 1/2 cup raisins (optional)... I used dried cranberries 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup pecan pieces or your preference, optional....I did add pecans Mix together well. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes. REVIEWS (bake in muffin tin; use cran-raisins or dried cranberries, flatten because the batter won't spread)....I baked them on parchment paper on a baking pan. http://www.grouprecipes.com/135887/banana-oatmeal-cookies.html
