First, you know nothing about nutrition or a low carb lifestyle. That's okay. You need a good book on the subject before you begin. Sugar free j e l lo with berries and fat free whipped topping, real Greek yogurt with berries, melons of all types, I'm addicted to red grapefruit sections that come in hard, whole grain crackers with a smidge of sugar free peanut butter. Buy any low carb book and you'll find suggestions.
Yes, this is true.
No they aren't. The human body does not need dietary carbohydrates to function at all.
That said, there are not many "no carb" diets. Most are low/controlled carb plans.
Human 101...we need carbohydrates to survive:
Carbohydrates = Glucose = Energy & Brain Food
From Wiki:
Glucose is a primary source of energy for the brain, so its availability influences psychological processes. When glucose is low, psychological processes requiring mental effort (e.g., self-control, effortful decision-making) are impaired.
If you're in the hospital, they'll hook you up to a glucose bag for nutrients. To say we don't need dietary carbohydrates is the craziest thing I've ever heard. Close to 80% of your daily calorie intake should be from carbohydrates.
OP: My apologies for hijacking your thread...facts are facts. Sounds like a bowl of fresh berries would be an excellent choice. Fresh, natural, unprocessed.

I'll repeat it for you. Humans do not need DIETARY carbohydrates. Our bodies produce when we need. That is fact.
In the hospital there are other options besides a glucose bag. That is also fact.
Your way is not the only way.
