I haven't watched this show regularly, but tried today. It was 15 food items (at least) and a darn vacuum presentation. Was this a Food Fest in disguise? Where are the kitchen items? I won't even bother again if the focus is prepared food. Maybe I just haven't kept up with the changing format. Please show more tools, food vessels, and small appliances.

Re: Is ITKWD now a Food Fest?

ITKWD has always been 3-4 hour shows - they have to fill it any way they can I guess.

Re: Is ITKWD now a Food Fest?

I seem to have a vague recollection of David, or somebody else, saying this would be a "foodies" show today.  Actually, QVC seems to be having more and more food shows.  I know folks on the forums complain about the price of the food items, but they must be popular.  Not with me, however.  I rarely, if ever, watch their food shows.

Thank you @Krimpette, that must be why it was primarily food items. I won't pay those prices so just skip the shows.

Yes, today's show was a special show dedicated to food.  It has it on the program guide.  I am guessing it's tied to Easter next weekend.

I would rather see food, then the same kitchen gadets every week, as well as a TSV that has nothing to do with his show (yawn).

Re: Is ITKWD now a Food Fest?

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing.  I look at "preview the show" to primarily see what cookbooks will be shown (which I buy elsewhere cheaper if I am interested in the book).  The last several weeks, both the Sunday and the Wed. shows seem to be heavily loaded with food items, not just this particular show today.  And overpriced food items, I might add.  The food of the month, the chicken fried chicken, with tax, comes to $19.60 (based on my local sales tax rate) PER POUND!!!  That chicken better cook itself and clean up after itself at that price!   Locally, I can get really nice boneless skinless no antibiotics chicken breasts at The Fresh Market on sale on Tuesdays for $2.99 per pound.

@katiescarlett  You want that chicken to clean up after itself??  There is no need for that.  The chicken has been trained not to make anything cleanupable in the first place.

I think they really hawk their food especially around a holiday. Somebody has to eat those Junior cakes, those Cheryl cookies and whatever other Easter goodies they have!
