Re: Is ITKWD now a Food Fest?

@chickenbutt I pretty much eat like you and prepare food and also buy prepared that I can keep frozen.  I am planning to get those chicken fried chicken pieces as soon as I get a bit more space in my little freezer which is only the top part of the refrigerator.

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing.  I look at "preview the show" to primarily see what cookbooks will be shown (which I buy elsewhere cheaper if I am interested in the book).  The last several weeks, both the Sunday and the Wed. shows seem to be heavily loaded with food items, not just this particular show today.  And overpriced food items, I might add.  The food of the month, the chicken fried chicken, with tax, comes to $19.60 (based on my local sales tax rate) PER POUND!!!  That chicken better cook itself and clean up after itself at that price!   Locally, I can get really nice boneless skinless no antibiotics chicken breasts at The Fresh Market on sale on Tuesdays for $2.99 per pound.

@katiescarlett Tee hee yep Tuesday's at the Fresh Market rocks with those $2.99 a pound chicken breasts! . . . . Smiley Happy

Love $2.99 Tuesdays for the chicken and for the ground beef, too!  I just plain love the Fresh MarketHeart....roasted chicken salad in the deli is my fave.  They used to carry tuna salad with walnuts and cranberries that was so delicious, bummed when they stopped carrying it.Woman Sad

Oh but that limoncello cake was calling my name. I resisted but when made with the right ingredients it is the best and I trust Chef Tony. I may reconsider.

I do enjoy Fresh Market items but they are going through a slight transition since being bought out and some of it is for the good but some old favs not available anymore..

After I saw that the show was mainly food items, I recorded the show so I could forward through them.  It was ridiculous how much of the show was food.  They belong on the Gourmet food shows that they have been having so many of, they don't have to include so many in David's show too.  I've never recorded David's show before as I liked to watch it live.  I'm sure they loaded David's show with food because he's so popular and his sales are so strong.

So many food items was bad enough, but a 1/2 hour of Dyson was too much.  Hopefully QVC will read our posts and change

David's show back to the way it used to be.  Maybe it was just because Easter is so close.
