Growing up, my family never made a big deal about Easter (except for candy).
So I've grown accustomed to that, and it's fine!

We'll be on a short trip for a few days prior, so whatever we do on Sunday this year is going to be very easy.

I'll make ham and mashed potatoes but I haven't given it much thought yet.

Yes.
I'm thinking of not having it.
For Thanksgiving we were a small group, just 7 of us.
I worked my assets off before, during and after the dinner, which took approximately 20 minutes to eat... start to finish.
There were several years when DH and I were alone for Easter. We'd take a very simple picnic to the park and sit on a blanket and enjoy the sunshine. I think that's what we'll do this year.

We will go to church and then right after we have a nice luncheon at church, and so later that day at home, hubby will throw some things on the grill, and our two daughters and 3 grandchildren will come down, usually they come to church with us on Easter as well. They do not live in town, about 1 1/2 hours away, so close enough to come down for the day.......Since Easter is so late this year, hopefully the weather will be decent enough to grill.......

We will be out in Montauk at the "summer" condo, might go out to eat - although it is a beach town, several places are open year round.

Hi, @homedecor1!
I had to smile when you said that you'd been planning the menu since Christmas time. So have we!
My grandmother made Easter bread too, and then my mom carried on the tradition. It's a slightly eggy, lemony raisin bread and we all adore it.
The challenge is that my grandmother's recipe is: 'a bag of flour, handful of salt, household sized yeast cake, not much kneading...'
Hahaha!
Happy Easter.

yup same as my grandmothers recipe ....no measurements just trying to remember from doing with her -- well I do remember the hard boiled egg part! Lol
Thinking a trip to our fav South Philly Italian bakery is going to be the plan.
We are excited for her to be hosting and I just keep telling her "relax we're family!"
Happy Easter to you & your family🐇🐇🐇
