Instant Pot--Q2Deal!

[ Edited ]

Bought Instant Pot and was looking forward to a presentation showcasing everything IP could accomplish for me having never used a pressure cooker.  I for one have been disappointed in the presentations since it seems the info about how to use the pot was minimal compared to the showcasing of all the different recipes and foods by Lisa Brady.

You will love it......a very easy learning curve, and tons of recipes online.  I just hard cooked a dozen eggs for deviled eggs over the 4th....never have I had eggs peel so easily!  Follow directions that come with it to do the “test” and you will easily learn to use it.

i live alone, so only got a 3 qt.   Use it at least a couple times a week.

it's super easy , just spend a bit of time figuring it out and you will be fine.    don't use too much water, can always add more time to the cooking,

start with HB eggs, then try soup

tons of online sites with ideas, besides ribs that they keep showing on the TV demos

@jackthebear Wow I thought Lisa was using to much liquid. In one recipe she said use 4 cups of water. I followed a recipe out of one of the books on the Q and had watery spaghetti. I just wing it with my recipes. Most call for at least one or two cups. I really enjoyed my Cooks Essential Pressure Cooker but the inner pot kept peeling, I had it replaced and it did it again. So dissapointed in the quality of Cooks Essential Pressure  Cookers.. Never again. When they demo any pressure cooker it's always the same recipes.

nature of pressure cooking means that much water is produced during the process

and one of the reasons I ended up with the IP is the stainless steel cooking pot

"When they demo any pressure cooker it's always the same recipes?"

And that's likely because they've determined that the recipes they demo are the most popular and the ones new users will be likeliest to want to make. For example, pot roast. Unless one is vegan or vegetarian, pot roast is likely to be one of the first things a new PC owner will want to try. Why? Who doesn't like pot roast? Pot roast comes out so well in a pressure cooker and cooks in a short amount of time.

@ScarletDove Look on U-tube if you have a tablet. There are a lot of cooking video's for the Instant Pot.I haven't had a chance to actually use mine but I'm getting close to having the courage to try. The video's will build your confidence. Just been ill and trying to get my energy back.I'll be thinking of you. Smiley Happy
