I am looking at adding an Insta Pot to my ******or cooker, and am overwhelmed by the choices! I am a bells and whistles person, so I like features but good grief. So many options and models.
I am intrigued by the Bluetooth one the Smart, but don't know if that would be more hassle than it was worth!
What are the features you use most, or want most? THANKS!!!!

I have the 7-1, 6 quart (IP-Duo/1000w) ..which makes yogurt.. I LOVE my Instant Pot! It has low/high/or manual pressure.. slow cooking, sauteing, rice, etc, stainless steel pot. It is plenty big enough ... I also bought extra seals and the extra lid (for slow cooking)...I got mine from Amazon and it's been one of my best purchases..have had it almost 3 years now and no problems (knock on wood!)
Good luck in picking just the right one for you..

I have one, I think it's the 6 something
as a techy person I can't think of a reson to get the BT version. you would be fine with a basic model. unless you want the yogurt setting, it's worth getting a 2nd seal, although I havent needed to use mine yet.
go on A to Z and read about them
we love ours

They just came out with a mini Instant pot 3 quart version. Really cute but not very practical.

Thanks @gizmogal @ptagirl @jackthebear @tiny 2
Too many choices! LOL!!! The ONLY thing that makes me think about the Bluetooth one is that you can just copy and paste timing instructions so you could find a new recipe and simply load in the timing if it needed to cook high for awhile (maybe raw chicken?) then turn the heat down to cook longer and things like that. . .
Or maybe I just like gadgets?
I appreciate any and all input!

Sooner, If you decide on the bluetooth version make sure it is one of the newer ones. The first group had a massive recall due to some flaw. I think that has now be corrected. I want one but can't decide between the 8 quart or the 6 quart.LOL

Bluetooth has a very short range, it's not like you're going to be able to control it from work like you would with a wifi device. I have bluetooth on my immersion circulator and I never use it, I just manually set it.
Having said that, I think that Instant pot is just the latest fad item. There are pros and cons of electric vs stove top pressure cookers. I've had pressure cookers for over 20 years and I like them.

Yeah, I haven't heard too many good things about the Bluetooth.
I have the 7-1,6qt w/ yogurt function.
They have a 3quart which I'm v.e.r.y interested in,
which also has a yogurt function.
It just boils down to what size you want...3-5-6-8qt
