For crying out loud people, if a presentation on a shopping channel is such a burden, change the darn channel. Seriously -- it is just a shopping channel.
I find it hard to believe that at this time of year, a vacuum cleaner presentation can be so burdensome.

I agree that a vacuum presentation shouldn't be so burdensome, but how can it be that profitable?? I can't help wondering how many people have waited to do their Christmas shopping just hoping to buy a vacuum which has to be shipped from a shopping channel. I haven't watched ITKWKD for many moons, and won't again, but I can understand the real frustration of those who enjoy him at having a vacuum thrust into the middle of a kitchen show.
Try some other channel. You may miss a Happy Dance or two, but the holiday offerings on the other channels are quite wonderful today.

Why can't people express their feelings without having somebody give them a big ol' lecture and spanking? It's not necessary to rip somebody apart for expressing their opinion. She didn't freak out or anything. She's not causing any harm, but IS entitled to her opinion.
Politeness goes a long way and is not at all difficult - I guess for most of us anyway.

I think it is great that you who don't like this recent change to 'breaking in' on the In The Kitchen With David for a very long presentation of the TSV, no matter what it is, are posting your dislike. I don't like it either.
But I know why they do it. David is one of their biggest sellers. He can sell more TSV's during his presentations than other hosts move in an entire hour long show. It's all about the money. They know that they have a captive audience, so to speak, when David is doing his show, and they take advantage of it to push the TSV.
The fact that many are tuning away and not coming back should be taken note of by Q's execs.

I never went back either. They just lost out on a viewer today. Kitchen gadget people are a very particular breed. If we are willing to sit for three hours to see kitchen products trust me we do not want to be interrupted with other things!
I agree and I changed the channel too. They also show the TSV (whatever item it is) on PM Style which is supposed to be a fashion show. I don't like this policy either. We see enough shows of the daily TSV.

Those are really good points! He does sell a lot of goods!
I am also one who will change the channel if it's something I don't want to see and herein lies the problem (for them anyway) - Often when I've changed the channel I forget to even come back. Well, like today. The cooking shows are about the only ones I watch anymore since they all but stopped selling fine jewelry. So when I tune in to one, that's what I expect to see. If it's something else (or let's be honest - if it's temptations, Keurig, or KitchenAid) I figure I'll do something else or watch something else and go back after that's over. Well, 99% of the time I either get busy or just plain forget to go back.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Less viewers = less sales.

And if reading a discussion about viewer preferences is so burdensome to you, click to another web page. It's a discussion forum, seriously -- and that means people discuss the programming of the company sponsoring the forum.
You might want to get clear on the concept before you chastise others for perfectly appropriate behavior.

Love "In the Kitchen with David" but not today! I actually felt bad for him today , as he looked bored out of his mind trying to talk about a vacuum for an hour.

I think a lot of people tuned out today from his show. I too believe that way of thinking backfired.
