I love this thread: this is one of the best we have had in a long time. I did find some magazines that some of you may be interested in. I subscribe to e-editions because they are cheaper, but I am sure these are available in paper...I did find them at Barnes and Noble. The first one is called "America in WW II Home Front Life". I subscribed to that one because not only did my parents grow up during the Depression, they experienced WW II. I heard all kinds of stories about rationing, and as rationing goes, it seems like we had it a lot better than the UK or France....the next one I found is called "Reminisce" and focuses on life from the 30s-60s. I also subscribed to that one. The last one I found is called "Good Old Days and covers the 30s-50s At one time I did subscribe, but it was not my favorite. Happy memories. Poodlepet
