I have the seashell pattern- the daisy pattern in black and some polka dot- a 9 x 13 with a lid it and an 8 x8 -here at camp I have the new gingham pattern and an old d/c rooster pattern casseroles and have not as yet experienced any cracking, crazing or breaking and I use them daily, and put them on the top rack of my dishwasher when I'm home. The only OW I have is the bread box and, of course, it just sits out on the counter.
After reading the whole thread, I give up. I didn't read any "nasty" posts at all.
"Nasty" is the new "Black". She's just fishing for a fight, again.

Happy housewife, no nasty was anywhere to be seen and you threw out that comment. It seems you don't like any post that simply posts a crack, craze, shoddy painting, etc. You seem to think posters are slandering temptations...accusing some of being untruthful about the defects they have been experiencing..Its even more puzzling that YOU started the thread about this very topic. It seems to me you might be "happy" long as everyone agrees with you. Let's face it,this line has serious issues and no one addresses it except here on these boards. It is a shame...pretty dishes, low quality, bad customer service in fixing faulty issues!

You must be new here.
Nothing puzzling at all about it; it's her M.O. I guess she thrives on the drama, which makes her sig line all the more ironic.

I collect pottery and have several Harker and Homer Laughlin covered casseroles from the 1940s.
They have help up better than TT, IMO.
I have baked in old casseroles with no issues.

What the What? How in just the first two posts did anyone get nasty? You just go around looking for arguments don't you?

terrier3,
Did your set come with a white basket which you placed the round baker in and you could also buy the 2 smaller matching bowls?
If yes those are some of my temptations items that cracked in my hands when taking out of the hot oven, and I was so lucky I had room to jump back or I could have been really injured and burned. (the 2 smaller matching bowls cracked after being removed from the refrigerator with cold potato and macaroni salad in them).

I made lasagna in my baker...I'm pretty sure it was 9x13. It ended up on my feet, the floor and in the oven!
I had used it two times previously...I washed it by hand and made sure not to keep it submerged in water.
It was a huge shock - I had read these stories before and never thought it would ever happen to me!
I have given a lot of TT as Christmas presents over the years and warned everyone not to bake in it any more. I examined my other TT carefully and threw out everything with even the slightest hint of crazing.
I have two Christmas pieces left and just use them for serving.
With your bad experience with a cold salad...I may rethink that use too!

Personally I use Corning & Pyrex, but I bought my daughter a set for Christmas & 3 pieces have cracked so far. It was the green Old World pattern. They need to address this problem on air & issue refunds.

It's little tiny cracks in your stoneware - but not cracks that you can usually feel. It looks like a faint little pattern of lines, as opposed to real cracks that you can feel with your fingernail.
