Re: If you were looking for green dinnerware

Green would not be my choice, but if I had to choose, it would be the first and fourth.  I also would check on where it was made.  My preference for greens would one of the Fiesta greens.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: If you were looking for green dinnerware

I love green but those are too dark for my taste. I like the jadeite but it is too light - wouldn't corrdinate with my Lenox Butterfly Meadow to which I am committed.

I used to love this Pfaltzgraf pattern but never bought any.

If I were going for green dinnerware, I'd opt for Fiesta.  I prefer solids because I think I might get tired of a pattern.

My eye goes straight to #4.  Practicality wise, #1.

They are too dark for me. I like to be able to see the food and the color just feels very institutional. Give me jadeite any day though!

Re: If you were looking for green dinnerware

@GingerPeach   For at least fifteen yeears I have been looking for a complete set of celadon green dinnerware that has the (embossed?) Asian carp on it.

Have never succeeded.  Once in a while I'll see an isolated piece here or there online but never anything close to a complete set.

Happy Fourth!

@GingerPeach

I love color, but these do not appeal to me.  I think the ones with texture remind me of toad skins, and then I feel queasy.

 I could do a green like this one-

Or a pattern with green as an accent.

@GingerPeach I got this Franciscan Ivy print on ebay.  I love the ivy and a little white!  I hve loved this pattern since we were married!  You can still put a set together easily!
