I enjoy so many of the chefs it would be hard to choose. I would have to say that I love Alton Brown cuz he has my sense of humor
Ree Drummond cuz all of her recipes I have made of hers are delicious
Michael Symon cuz he is sooo cute (although might not learn a whole lot since I would just be looking at him all the time)
Tyler Florence cuz I think he is a doll and just such a sweetheart whenever I have seen him in any kind of interview
and I do love Guy Fieri but I'd probably like to have a few beers with him rather than cook

Alex Guarneschelli or Ann Burrell

This is a fun topic. I can't abide any competition show, so I've never heard of several of the choices. Funny, we certainly have variety of who we find attractive. Anyway, Jacques Pepin would be my choice.

Rachael Ray - she is a home style cook not a chef and I learned a lot watching her original TV show 30min meals. I now almost exclusively use broth instead of water in my food and it really does make everything taste so much richer. Lots of other stuff I learned form her too. I ike her personality too - very upbeat pleasant person.

Ina Garten. She relaxes me and sets just the right tone in the kitchen - informal yet good food.

It took 24 posts before I found someone who agrees with me - Ina Garten. She comes up with the most useable recipes that I could actually handle.

Tyler Florence. His recipes are GREAT!

Pierre Franey would be my first choice. Since he has passed my next choice would be Jacque Pepin.

I would have to say Wolfgang Puck. I just love his personality and kindness.
I think he makes cooking look easy. I'm not familiar with a lot of newer chefs. I also enjoy Lidia. I get a kick out of her cooking shows on PBS.

Martha Stewart - for baking.
I know she's not really a chef, but she was the first lifestyle guru I ever followed and I have such sweet memories of those days as a new homemaker. Cooking is a no-brainer for me. I eat simple foods, so I have all the skills I need to cook. The baking world is a wonderland to me and Martha's low-key style is still my favorite.
