Re: If you buy commercially made rubs and spice blends, what do you consider the best tasting to buy??

I like other brands too, but we love Penzey's Turkish seasoning for chicken and pork and their Chicago steak rub is wonderful for steaks. Their English prime rib rub is also great and I use it in other recipes. I was making a prime rib one holiday and the butcher at my store told me to use the Penzey prime rib rub. He uses it for that all the time. I was so happy because I was going to make a rub which required lots of purchases. It was yummy.

The Ritz Carlton (if there is one near you) sells Yakima which is an Applewood smoked salt rub. I am addicted to it and it is a great all purpose meat rub.
