Re: If this makes me low-down and...

I'll take Dunkin over Starbucks any day.  And you know who has really good coffee?? McDonald's.  And I think it's a dollar.

The only time I tasted Starbuck's coffee was when we went to the casino and received vouchers for free coffee and pastry at their kiosk.  Although it was free, it was awful and could not understand why people liked it.  Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.  I'd rather McD's or DD coffee.  Better tasting and better price.

We are coffee addicts. The only coffee we love is Peet's Major Dickasons blend. It's available in our markets here in California.

Nothing added to it -- no sugar or cream.

Whoops, I forgot to mention something ..... although I don't like and don't buy Starbucks, if I happen to walk past one, I always step inside for a moment and take a few deep breaths to enjoy the smell of the coffee in the air ....  smells great!   It's not unlike walking into a bakery and smelling fresh baked goods.   Love the heavenly scent of freshly ground coffee.   And then I walk back out and continue my day.  Woman Happy

I like Starbucks espresso/drinks but not their regular coffee for the same reason.  We must enjoy our coffee .  😺

@Tinkrbl44  I think they call that a "contact high" HA! Drinking coffee is something to savor for coffee lovers. I love the ritual of my morning jolt and afternoon pick me up. I use different brews for different times of the day, as well as seasonally. Right now, morning jolt is DD with Hazelnut Creamer. Afternoon it's New England Butter Toffee with 2 sugar cubes. I even have mugs designated for the a.m. and afternoon. But that's just me. I like to savor little moments in my life.

I get higher than a kite from Starbucks, too much caffeine.  I read that one variety has 450 mg. caffeine.

If someone wants to label me trashy or lowdown, they will have to know far more than where I buy my coffee.

In a recent rating poll of take away coffee I noted that McDonald's ranked #1, Dunkin #2, Tim Hortons #3 and Starbucks  at the bottom of the heap.  One man's trash is another man's gold!! lol lol

I don't drink coffee but on occasion my husband will get a cup.  He prefers McDonald's to any of the fancy coffee shops.   He likes just a plain coffee no cream or sugar and he especially likes that if just costs him $1.00.

I see the lines around Starbucks and some of the other finer coffee shops so I'm sure that many enjoy the finer brews.  When I was still working I know a few of my co-workers would make a daily stop at Starbucks.
