Fresh Market has a sale on their whole tenderloin.  Choice is $9.99 a lb.  I got a whole one, cut it into servings, put 2 to a bag, and they're in the freezer.  I'll have Filet Minon at $9.99!  Smiley Happy

 

(Also, shrimp is 25% off intil the end of the month!).

I'm with you on that that - local grocery store family owned do a big meat business.  I also buy the entire (bloody bag) as my husband called it. It's a butcher shop so I have steaks cut 2 inches thick.  Store does a big discount - bag might cost $89 - then reduced to $70 at checkout.  We started doing this 30 years ago.
