I am not pleased at all that QVC has decided to cancel ITKWD tonight and instead are airing a program called "David's Gift Guide".  Apparently it is a 2 hour show of gift suggestions from David Venable.  I know many people on these boards tune to ITK as part of their Wednsday routine and are likely to be disappointed.  I have messaged customer service to let them know I am not happy. Im sure David will be a trooper but I bet he is also unhappy his ktchen program was removed.

I bet he is so happy to have the night off and will be able to do his own thing in his own kitchen.

@Reever   I think it is nice to give people the evening off. Their venders and spokes people deserve the night before Thanksgiving off.  I think David is hosting the Gift show since he is not going home to North Carolina.

I can sympathise. For many years while my daughter was little I'd pre-prepare the Thanksgiving Day meal at 8PM on Wednesday evening while watching the Gold Hour with host Mary Beth Roe. It became a part of my personal Thanksgiving celebration, something I enjoyed.

I realize  he is hosting but he is not In the Kitchen and the foodies dont want to watch Dyson fans for $275.  Many plan their week around the Kitchen segments.

@Reever - ITKWD is still on tonight as usual, but the content will be David's gift picks for kitchen and food items as part of today's "Merry & Bright" event. Just do a search for his show and look at the lineup for tonight (knowing that they never post a full list and also include some popular items from previous shows), and it seems clear that the show will be pretty much what you'd expect on any Wednesday night. In addition, on Sunday's show, Mary specifically mentioned David's upcoming recipe for tonight, and it has been posted to his recipe page.

ETA: Hmmm...the page for tonight's show was updated at the top of the hour and now includes quite a few non-kitchen/food items instead of just the TSV and the Kringle Express bags that were there before. I guess we'll see what happens.
