I miss the big national home shows. Public not invited just the people like QVC who see what the new gadgets are that's heading to the market.
See the new inventions, etc. I seldom watch any more I cook all of our meals except for going out once a week and bringing home pizza or burgers one day a week.
I got the Schwan man one time a month stuff is froze straight to your door.

Julia is energetic and I've enjoyed watching her host.
I know any host should be able to host any show, but we have been spoiled. David loves to cook and is the perfect choice to host his shows. I've seen only Mary and Stacy as his co-hosts. I do believe anyone who co-hosts his show should enjoy cooking and/or being in the kitchen. Maybe Julia does - or is excited to learn. I guess we'll find out!

I wish this show would go back to the original format of cookware, food prep, and other cooking and baking items. It's now another version of a food fest or gourmet holiday with a few kitchen items tossed in and an hour of the TSV (that really is what drove me away--matresses and vacuums are just wrong). The prepared food category must be their pot of gold but reheating food isn't my preference for what used to be my Sunday viewing staple. I just check online now to see if anything other than food is presented. I have never seen Julia so have no idea if she will be a good fit or not.

@stellabystarlight ...........It seems some posters will get a bite on a host and the rest of the pack will join in ripping her/him to shreds. It happens all the time. Its now Julia's time to be chewed up and spit out.

The QVC hosts are much like TV news and weather reporters...instead of reading the news from a teleprompter, they sell the product in front of them.. sometimes we formulate opinions about these people...I don't like her voice, I don't like the way she looks, etc. so we go to another channel. That in itself makes us wonder why we form these opinions about someone we don't know? For some reason I wasn't crazy about Stacey at first, and then really grew to like her, and was sad to see her go. I wish Julia the best. And we always have the option to turn the channel, or do a little introspection, and ask ourselves why we want to...

This thread was not intended to start any bashing or negative remarks about Julia. My frustration is with QVC and some of their personnel changes. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but felt bad that some good people were let go. I would understand if they shifted Stacey to another position but she was fired! If they are tightening their belts at QVC, then don't replace the extra person.."sidekick". David is capable of doing show alone and I wish him continued success. He is a good person.
So, we can let this go now, right? 🤔 ...hope so.

@SandySparkles wrote:I think it's plausible she was paired with David because he is the best host to "polish" any fledgling new host, in need of a confidence boost, and improvement with their style of product presentation.👍👍
David's attention to detail, professionalism and wit, is just what is needed to guide her along, and help her navigate into a niche of her own. I'm stil rooting for her, and hope this teacher/student pairing will be successful.🤞😊
~~~All we need is LOVE💖
Oh yes, Davids detail, 3 green ,2red, and 1 white left, and the wit,the happy dance, everyones favorite thing, such professionalism. So great I haven't been able to watch him for years.Big snore.
I think the problem is when they train the hosts ....they concentrate on key sales gimmicks, and want the hosts to be self focused (let the customers know about you and act like the customers best friend) just like the social media "influencers" BUT QVC forgets the most imporant part of the job....KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS & RELATE THAT INFO TO THE VIEWERS AND BE YOURSELF!!! It takes awhile for those with real potential to figure that out....Some have the skills and personality and some dont....It does take time!
Just like Kristine Zell she was totally scripted not on the products but just the chitchat with the vendor and she had her family stories ready, but didnt do her homework on the products, and made tons of mistakes on the product info and her conversation didnt flow with what the vendor was saying....and many of the vendors looked annoyed or frustrated .....She just wasnt cut out to be a QVC host....Time tells all..
David and Antonella?
Lots of her fans want QVC to bring Antonella back.
You? 🤔
Julia was not a good choice in my opinion. I normally change the channel when she is on. I like David and I like kitchen items so I will watch sometimes, but now it won't be a priority for me.
