@WORKING GAL I think everyone should learn a new craft, and kick cooking shows to the curb. We all did great without all the cooking things. Save money and cook simple things that don't require all that junk. Myself included. He bothers me so I've moved on.

@BeccaLou   Live and let live. Variety is the spice of life.  I enjoy cooking and have been doing so for close to fifty years.  What might be "junk" to you isn't to many others.

I hardly think my Kuhn Rikon opener, my Microplane, and all the way up to my Vitamix and Kitchen Aid bowl lift mixer merit your disdain.

Even when making simple meals it is always good to have the best equipment and ingredients that fit one's budget.  I enjoy and put to good use about 95% of my cooking things.

Despite you being bothered by David Venable and his kitchen shows, again, many of us look foward to these twice a week offerings.

So, I won't be joining you in kicking these shows, or David, to the curb.

I will continue to pursue enhancing my skills in pursuit of culinary prowess and wish you the best in pursuing whatever new craft you will be picking up.

Truly, have a wonderful Sunday.

@aroc3435 My message wasn't there to get anyone up set so back off a little. Just suggestions for people being bored and trying something new.

@okaywitheasypay  Well, it is more the Covid-19 pandemic that has kept me out of my local "Cheers" for which Significant Other and I had started frequenting at least once a week since I retired and relocated from Connecticut to DC nearly three years ago.

In our old CT stomping grounds we visited that version of "Cheers" and would cook and bring in food often for all the folks since they didn't have kitchen.

Happy hour at home just is not the same.Smiley Happy  I miss my "attitude adjustment time" in the "recovery room" with all the dear friends, and great music.  May we return to some semblance of those happier days sooner rather than later, Lord willing.

Cheers!
