ITKWD -- Introducing a New Approach to the Show Tonight -- 3/3

David has been teasing a new ITKWD show beginning tonight:

"Hey Foodies! I can't believe that in just a few hours you will see our BRAND NEW - In the Kitchen with David!🎉🍴 The show is delivering an all-new approach that you will find refreshing - reinvented and REIMAGINED! Don't miss our BIG PREMIERE tonight at 8 PM ET!"

That was from his Instagram page today.

Maybe they're adopting the "all vendor via zoom" approach. Oh yay.

I don't even watch this show, but I am intrigued.  What could they possibly do so differently?  If I remember, I'll take a look tonight.

@Caaareful Shopper  I would love to see some actual cooking going on using the items for sale - like they used with Stacey Stauffer's short-lived "Step by Step"

Maybe David is getting tired of the 3-4 hour marathon selling. Maybe he will be paired with another host, similar to Leah and Sean, so they would tag-team each other. I think Mary Beth would be great since she has also written a cookbook.

@chessylady  I wonder about co-hosting idea as well.

@froggy  I doubt all-vendor, but you know, they have been trying out solo vendor shows on Q2.  So perhaps David might have a virtual co-host -- a vendor in their own location selling solo  for 30 minutes of the show.  "And now ... the Temp-tations segment of ITKWD!  Take it away Tara!!"  Smiley Very Happy

Oh yeah!  Maybe instead of one hour on vacuums and mattresses, it will be two hours of the same old thing in a new package.

Maybe it's just that I'm entering that 'get off my lawn!' phase of life, but it annoys me to say something is happening, not like it should be some big secret, and then not say what it is.

Don't get me wrong.  I get the point.  The point is to make people curious so, they assume, more will watch.  But it's no less annoying.  Tell me what it is and I will make my own educated decision whether or not to watch.

I've always liked David (we have the same birthday, although he's 10 years younger) and I think he's a good guy, so I'm not railing on him.   I'm just about 'just tell me the thing, for crying out loud, and I'll decide'.

Oops!  Now - end of rant.  Smiley Very Happy

Certainly , needs a new format. All those  pots. casseroles pans full of endless food do nothing to convince me that I need to buy another kitchen item , so hopefully they changed  that  aspect of his shows. I am sick of all that food maybe being wasted .   Maybe if they had someone who was really cooking  demonstrate a  kitchen culinary item , but please don't yell talk while a blender or mixer is being demonstrated .
