Perhaps this has been discussed but today I checked Mary's show and again all food like David's shows recently.
Is this going to be the norm until the holidays? If so, no need to tune in to next year!

I'm glad Mary mentioned at the start, it was a 3 hour food show.
Saved me $ by not watching.
Maybe the shows should be called in the Dining Room with Mary.

@homedecor1. Yes, smart move on your part.

Yes, there has been lots of discussion about this recently; see the "Is anyone else not a fan of..." thread if you're interested.

I've read many posts in recent months by people complaining about items in the ITKWD shows other than food. Well...perhaps TPTB have granted your request.

I did the same thing.....changed the channel. I thought the Gourmet Holiday shows were for the all food format.

I don't really even cook, but I must say I watch the ITKW shows because I enjoy seeing all the gadgets and cooking items presented.I kept turning back and forth to still seeing food presented so I turned it off. They had a gourment show a couple of hours after Mary's show yesterday after her 3 hour food show. We'll see what today brings with David. If it's all food, off it goes.

I noticed the almond toffee today. It does look tempting but for $40 for 110 pieces, it isn't a bad price, but it doesn't ship till it cools. If I were to buy it, I wouldn't see it until at least December due to our weather down here. I don't think I could wait that long for chocolate.
I do agree that a kitchen show should include kitchen items. I know that Q makes more money from the kitchen items than food, so why not follow that trend? If they are going to do food, then name the shows that way, like Goodies for Your Tummy, so people know without having to go online and look for its content. Three hours of food is just too much food. An hour maybe but three. Show me the kitchen tools and gadgets to better prepare and use my kitchen.

Melting chocolate reminded me of a memory. When I was a kid, my dad bought a large container of Whoppers - malted choclate. It was the pint size container and we don't usually get candy. Of course, it was in the car all day and when we got home, it was a gooey mess. My brother and I still ate it after placing it in the fridge. No longer malted milk balls but a alab of something. We both still remember and laugh about it.

I think the reason why the kitchen shows are now featuring more food is that, while we only may need 1 gadget per household, food will be eaten and then more is needed. It might get re-ordered again and again.
Just my opinion.
