ISO: Vanilla ice cream recipe Jan made in the Vitamix Creations II 64 oz 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender??

He said to freeze a mixture of milk, cream, sugar and vanilla in an ice cube tray. Then put it in the Vitamix and whirl it up. This was shown the weekend of April 5th and 6th.

Anybody have the exact recipe from the Creations Cookbook?? It is for the Creations II 64 oz 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender.

I've read about chocolate ice cream made the same way with a chocolate mixture, but I don't have that recipe either.

Last night I watched Jan and Rick make banana ice cream with a couple of fresh and a couple of frozen bananas.Thats all. He just whirled it up and had banana icecream.

How about a scoop of banana ice cream with some chocolate sauce on it. Smiley Happy Smiley Happy

Re: ISO: Vanilla ice cream recipe Jan made in the Vitamix Creations II 64 oz 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender??

I have the Creation GC Vitamix and the recipe isn't in my cookbook. Maybe it is in another Vitamix cookbook??

I just watched the video for K40917, the Vitamix he used. Watch the video from about 3:50-5:50 and it shows them making the vanilla ice cream.

If you notice there is some milk in the bottom of the Vitamix when he puts in the milk cubes. He said it was milk or cream, vanilla and sugar. Then he added the frozen milk cubes and whirled it up.

Maybe someone will post the recipe from the cookbook.

Re: ISO: Vanilla ice cream recipe Jan made in the Vitamix Creations II 64 oz 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender??

The recipe in the cookbook is below. Don't know if he used part or all of the half & half or whole milk for the ice cubes since there is liquid in the bottom of the container. Maybe he used 1 cup milk plus the ice cubes made with it???

Vanilla Ice Cream

1 cup half & half or whole milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup nonfat dry milk (optional)

4 cups ice cubes

Place ingredients in Vitamix, select variable 1 & quickly increase speed to variable 10.

Use tamper to press ingredients into the blades.

In 30-60 seconds the sound of the motor will change & 4 mounds should form when done.

Yields 5 cups

You can make this recipe lower in fat by using nonfat milk or soy milk in place of half & half or whole milk.

Thanks for posting the recipe. I found these recipes. I haven't tried them yet.

Vanilla Ice Cream

1/2 c half and half, 1/4 c sugar, 1 t vanilla and 2 c frozen milk cubes.

Another recipe:

Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream

1 1/2 c half and half, 2/3 c sugar, 1T vanilla and 4 c frozen half and half cubes.

to make a chocolate version add 1/3 c powdered instant chocolate. I guess this is Nestles Quick?

Here is a recipe for Chocolate Ice Cream I found online for the Ninja. It says it makes 4 servings but with the ingredient list I would think it makes more then 4 servings.

Ninja Blender Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe
  • 4 cups of whipping cream low fat if desired
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 cup of egg product
  • 1 cup of dark cocoa
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of either pecans or chocolate chips
  1. Depending on the size of your blender you may need to half all of the ingredients so it will fit. Blend all of the mix until smooth and then transfer into pots and then put them in your freezer for about 4 hours.

Preparation time: 2 minute(s)

Cooking time:

Number of servings (yield): 4
