Re: IF you watched QVC in the 1990's, DO (or did!) you have a Nesco Roaster?

@granddi. Not sure if you got a reply, but the Nesco web site has the oval 6 qt cookwell for $19. All this talk of good food made me order the 5 qt rectangular roaster from Amazon. I gave my original one to my DD and have missed it ever since. I have the 18 qt also, and use it for holidays to free up the oven for side dishes. Yes, those were the best presentations on the Q.

LOL... yes, I loved my Nesco~!  I had a Cobalt Blue one first and loved it.  Then they came out with one that circulated air and I loved that one even more (in white)... gave the blue one to my son's girlfriend (at the time).  Those both were 6 qts.   Can't remember what happened to the air circulation one...  I eventually bought a cheap 18 qt for cooking a turkey or ham (still have that one).... and now have the Ninja Oven (love that too!).

I often wondered what happened to Nesco and that dear Nesco lady that would come on with it....

As a wedding gift in 1983 I got a Westinghouse 18qt electric roaster so that was my big one, but I still have a 6 qt Nesco and a 4 qt Nesco from QVC. The 6 qt is at camp and the 4 qt at home. BTW - the 4qt is perfect for lasagna. It comes out fabulous and the noodles just fit perfectly in there. They are very much loved and used items in my home. I gave the 18 qt to my niece when we moved to Florida because I said I was done having dinner parties, however, that has not actually happened and I wish often that I had it back.

Does anyone beside me still have their Ron popiel rotisserie from the 90's? I still use mine all the time to make hams, pork tenderloins and standing rib roasts, and turkey breasts. it is a healthier way to make meats as the fats drip out.

Have to admit I have 3 18qt roasters and one of every size that Nesco made. Plus the club I belong to we probably have 15 nesco roasters, plus 8 westinghouse and several other brands of different sized roasters including the Cook's essential that was sold on the Q. The favorite roasters by all of are the older models of Westinghouse those never fail. When we see any one selling them we always try to purchase it. We use all of our roasters constantly for events. the newer ones come with electric cords that are just about worthless. They do not last like the old cords did. Recent event we did we had 22 roasters cooking at the same time. They were plugged in every were. Ladies you can now purchase the roaster liners to cook your food in. Its so much easier washing all the roaster liners once you toss the plastic liner bag away. the liner bags are just like the turkey bags we cook our turkeys in.

I think they still have Nesco at some dept stores. I know I've past some but didn't pay attention b/c I have 6 & 12 qt ans don't need any at the moment. But I really do miss the presentations and wish they would come back with Nesco.

I still have the smallest one, I think it was 4 qt.?  Maybe 6.  It burned everything around the edges (even on low) and rarely used it.  I never use it now.  It's just gathering dust.

I LOVE Nesco Roasters. Yep, bought one way back when, loaned it to a friend and she forgot and left it on. End of that so bought another one. I bought yet another one as I "loaned" that one to a granddaughter. I have the 6 quart. I liked the first and last one best as the liners were not the Teflon liner - did NOT like that at all. I use mine several times a week and I have tried a couple other roasters, none like the Nesco! Swear by them. Use to have a very large one but do not do turkeys, etc any more.

Yes, I still have my 18 qt Nesco and use it every Thanksgiving for my turkey.  I use to have a top that fit on it with trays that I could use for a buffet but in my last move it disappeared.Would sure like to find a new one does anyone know if they are still available and where? Thanks
