Re: I suddenly understand why older people lose interest in cooking.

Hi @house_cat!  Heart

I know that this thread of yours has been here awhile now, but since it's still going, I'm adding my 2 cents.

I'd always heard that when you only cook for yourself, you'll eventually lose interest, but in my case it's just the opposite.

I love to cook, and I love to eat, and let me tell you, that is one deadly combination.

I wish I'd lose interest, because my weight is steadily climbing. Uh-oh!

Cooking only for yourself frees you up for experimentation, and there's no one around to see that you "had to" eat pizza for weeks until you found just the right dough. (Nancy Silverton's!)

LOL!

I wish I lived next door to you, because I'd happily take those yummy leftovers off your hands.

Muddling through...

@sabatini

Thank you for posting, you gave me a chuckle!

I'd love to have you come share some leftovers... and I could go share yours, and you could share more of mine and oh, dear! Eventually we wouldn't fit through the doors!
