There have been several styles now that were on the shows and now there are none that I like.  WHY?  They were so great for cutting everything. And idea why they disappeared and if/when they are coming back? I REALLY MISS THEM.

@nzwyck   They usually are only for sale late in the year, say October so we can give them as presents.

@nzwyck  I think you are referring to the Kuhn Rikon shears. They do sell them on the Kuhn Rikon website and on Amazon, but they are not nearly as inexpensive as when offered onQVC.  However, you have to make sure you are getting good shears. The earliest offerings were better than some of the more recent. I have them from about 10 years ago, and they are still going strong.

@PA Mom-mom.  That's for sure.  The shears I've gotten in the past 4 or 5 years have been c-r-a-p.   I just use them a few times and they'll no longer cut.

@PA Mom-mom and @Kachina624 I just clicked respond to say the same thing, the new ones are disposable. I have sharpened my old ones a few times, they are great but sharpening the newer ones ruins them.

I like the Sébatier scissors, heavier than the shears and come apart for cleaning.
