We had one in the garage. It was great for those sales where you want to stock up. Pork, turkeys at the holidays, and in Summer, the soda sales (back when I drank sodas). I was more worried about the extra electrical cost.

I put 10lb of butter in mine when it goes on sale. Hopefully, around Easter it will. Down to 5lb .....crisis ! LOL

I may be a little over the top when it comes to organizination.

I'm waiting for a good sale on butter and I will stock up.  I haven't seen any in years around here.  I made the mistake of introducing my husband and son to the Kerry Gold butter that was recommended by my foodie friends.  There's no going back from that and it's never less than $6, but for my baking I skimp and use the cheaper stuff.

just reading this   I amazed at how much food you all keep,

 

I try not to have too much in inventory,

and if you have a power outage, what then 

 

learned my lesson after one of the hurricanes and had to toss my whole subzero freezer side of the fridge.  now we have an generator
