Thanks for posting this discussion (debate?) as I didn't realize there were different versions of this out there.  When it first debuted on QVC I bought it from Macy's with a coupon.

I will have to pick up the 2 extra blades as I love this thing.

I made apple pie with mine and it is a dream to make with this.

I have had several different types of apple peelers before and this is the best by far.

Worth every penny just for that.

I'm glad you love yours too, this is probably my best kitchen purchase this year. I wish I hadn't waited as I debated getting it since they first came out. @VaBelle35

So today, I made sweet potato buns using the Inspiralized recipe. Spiralized sweet potato ( peel first), 2 eggs, a little salt.

I did saute the noodles until they got tender but not too soft, since sweet potato is pretty hard and they wouldn't have conformed to the ring molds easily otherwise. Once they were tender I mixed them in a bowl with the egg and salt. Then as before, form in the ring molds, cover with plastic and weigh down with a can and in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

The flavor was good, not too sweet like so many sweet potato dishes are but I liked the zucchini ones better.

I also made zucchini and tomato noodle pancakes from Nourishing Noodles cookbook. Spiralized zucchini, flax meal ( I used flax seeds I processed in the Vitamix), two tomatoes, basil and oregano. You blend the flax meal with the tomato, at which point it gets thick and then mix with the zoodles and spices. Spread on a silicone dehydrator sheet ( paraflexx sheets) into the size you want and dehydrate them. So far mine aren't quite done yet, so I'll have to report back. I made them sort of soft taco size, but I can see these being good for wraps.

I've had so much going on with my husband medical issues that I've barely used my spiralizer the last few months. It's time to get back to it. On and those noodle pancakes from Nourishing Noodles came out pretty good. They weren't really pancakes though, more like a wrap or tortilla.

Re: I love the KitchenAid Spiralizer

Not real healthy, but we like onions sprirlized, toss with a bit of corn starch and fry in frying pan. Drain on paper towels and salt.
