Re: I have, love, and use my pressure cooker. . .

I have my second pressure cooker from q hardly use~donated first one used 3 times never came to pressure. And how do you clean top cover hardly use because do not think top is clean? And is there a gasket on instant pot? I have cooked a couple meals and they never came to pressure has that ever happened to any one else on pressure cookers and I was completely dumbfounded I do not have time to play as a busy Mom  because never home. Is insta pot easier as I am strapped for time no time to learn would consider getting rid of 8 qt pressurer cooker brand new not being used.

You all seen that monster pot at Bed and Bath ! Now, that's the granddaddy of them all!   10qt I believe it is.

Have to cook for ranch hands or like for a school or something. Biggest one I'd seen

Re: I have, love, and use my pressure cooker. . .

@shortbreadlover  It is funny that you should say that.  A friend of mine had one of those for over 40 years and before that it belonged to her mother.  She always said things like I would never get one of those new ones an I just can't live without the one I have.

The problem was that everyone ran out of her kitchen when she used it husband, daughter, grandsons.

So when she moved into a new house, I gave her an electronic one as a housewarming gift.  Guess what, she got rid of the old one and now can't live without the new one.

Re: I have, love, and use my pressure cooker. . .

Trying to figure out if the TSV would be worthwhile for me.  Cook only for myself and don't work so I have time to cook by a slower method.   I use my slow cookers a lot in the fall/winter and use my air fryer several days a week.  Will watch tomorrow.  (curious about making yogurt too)  I don't want something with a huge learning curve.

I love my Instant Pot, it is really great for cooking grains, hardboiled eggs, meats. I use it at least once a week. I don't know why some people call it an Instapot since the packaging and ads all call it an Instant Pot.

"I'm not sure there is much difference between an electric pressure cooker and an instant pot."

There IS no difference between an electric pressure cooker and an Instant Pot. The Instant Pot IS an electric pressure cooker.

Re: I have, love, and use my pressure cooker. . .

I bought it because it has a stainless steel liner.I really like my Cooks Essential Pressure cooker a lot but the linesr are defective. Replaced one and it did it again. So upset with that brand. But I will keep my Cooks essential in hope that they will come out with a stainless steel liner. Plus it seems well excepted by a lot of people. Well see , I haven't used it yet.

Daysdee, I can't determine for you whether the TSV Instant Pot would be worthwhile, but I think you'd love it. Of course, it saves time, but the food you make in it will be fabulous, so it's not simply a time-saver. You may have plenty of time to cook, but it's nice not to have to babysit whatever it is you're cooking regardless of how long it takes. I have plenty of time to cook too, but it's nice set my Instant Pot and forget it. It's very simple to use - no big learning curve. And if you do have questions, view some of the You Tube Instant Pot videos and join one of the many Facebook groups. The Facebook group called Instant Pot Community has 1.5 million members so you can easily get any question answered.

Try an Instant Pot. If you don't like it, though I can't imagine you won't, you can return it to QVC.
