I have aubergine mugs, serving pieces and even an enamelled Le Creuset French oven (cassis is the color, I think.)  Most of my kitchen is shades of neutral, but I have incorporated aubergine and  shades of green and blue into the dish/ serveware/cookware mix.

 

I wouldn't want a purple kitchen, however.
