I am having a hard time with the 8. Quart pressure cooker. I set the timer, but it goes to E3

Might sound dumb, but try unplugging it and then plugging it back in..also,

is the lid on properly?

@Feeish I'm not sure which pressure cooker you have.  However, I took a look at one of the manuals for another pressure cooker which happens to also have that code.  Not sure if it's the same as yours but it says E3 is an error message for overheating.  With that being said, please check your owners manual to see what the code means and how to correct it.
