Re: Hummus what flavor should I try?

@Mary Bailey I buy the garlic and red pepper from Aldi and usually get the blue tortilla chips or the pita chips to go with it.

I think they also have a 4 flavor one where the container is broken down in 4 sections with a different flavor in each.

I actually read that its easy to make your own, so I have the ingredients and will make my own garlic version this week.

I dont like hummus, IMO you have to like garbonzo beans or chickpeas, which I do not.  I would suggest buying a small amount to see if you like it.

Definitely start with plain, then work your way up.

I like salsa hummus. Spicy with a kick and not bland. Don't buy chocolate hummus. I bought that at Walmart once and it was not good. I like hummus with veggies.

I like it with Roasted Garlic.

Re: Hummus what flavor should I try?

What flavor do you like?   Hummus plain is rather mild.

I'm happy with just the garlic, but I think would like to try the guac hummus.

I agree with the previous poster, get the variety pack.

I would start with the plain.  Take note of the salt content if you are purchasing flavored hummus.  If you can find tahini paste, it's really really easy to make in a food processor.

I live in a very rural area and the grocery stores within 17 miles of me, including Walmart, do not carry tahini so I have to purchase it online.

The different manufacturers each do it a little different.  So their flavors vary.

The best is what you make yourself.  Mine might be a little lumpier, but oh flavors with fresh.
