Re: How do you prepare your oatmeal?

I make mine with 1/2 water 1/2 milk, 1 tsp of cream of wheat, 1 tsp brown sugar and about 3 tsp of sugar free log cabin syrup. The oats are old fashioned ones, not instant. At the end I stir in about 1 tsp of butter.

Old fashioned real oatmeal no instant. Change water to oatmeal ratio depending on my desired thickness at that particular time. Cook in microwave until desired texture. Add desired dab of real butter and fruits which vary by my hunger at that time. Use no liquid dairy

Re: How do you prepare your oatmeal?

We use McCann’s Irish oats in the can. Cook it on the stove using whole milk. Top it with a little heavy cream, a sprinkle of brown sugar and a drizzle of real maple syrup. If I have any fruit in the bin, that gets sliced on top. We do keep a box of instant oatmeal for the kids when they visit but I prefer real steal cut oats.

Re: How do you prepare your oatmeal?

I found a recipe for oatmeal cooked in the Instapot. I have the 3 qt one and I've never cooked oatmeal in it before. It is called apple pie oatmeal and OMG was it delicious!! Took longer to cut up the apples then it did to cook. Cooked for 5 minutes than  10 to cool down then quick release. Put a big spoonful of plain yogurt on top with some cashews and it was great.

Re: How do you prepare your oatmeal?

I make the oatmeal in the microwave and then I add peanut butter, brown sugar, and butter. Love it this way, but is not low calorie. But then I remind myself that oatmeal is so, so healthy...smh!
