How do you keep bananas from ripening too fast?

I've tried the Green Bags, but they don't work for me. How do you keep green bananas from ripening too fast? Also, sometimes I buy green bananas; and if they are too green, they never ripen. So I don't like to get bananas if they are completely green. Thanks for any suggestions you have. I like to buy my bananas once a week, but in a couple days, they have all ripened.
