How do you clean your kitchen cupboards

I want to touch up some worn areas, but I need to clean the wood first. Do you use something like Murphy's oil soap or a better product?

My cabinet maker suggested dawn dish detergent with clean damp wrag. The use a clean wrag to dry . This will clean and remove any grease .

I use both Dawn, and Murphy's Oil Soap.  Not mixed together, but separately, depending on where the cabinets are located.  The cabinets around my stove get Dawn and the cabinets elsewhere in the kitchen get Murphy's Oil Soap.

Dawn seems to work best for the greasy residue.

Dawn is a great product as it cuts grease and grime.  I then use a product in a spray bottle that I got from one of the local home places that is specifically for wood cabinets which further cleans and shines the outside of wood cabinets.

I wipe them down using a Mr. Clean eraser, then wax with paste wax. If I had to touch up I guess I would do so with the paint as needed and then lightly wax....I'd have to try it to see if it works.

Yikes! Does'nt the Mr. Clean eraser strip the finish?? I wouldn't suggest using these erasers. It simply makes the surface dull, scratched and simply takes the finish off. JMO
