How do make & roll pie dough

When I was young my grandmother and mother looked at each other one day and one said to the other "should we have taught her how to make pie dough?" Back at that time, I didn't realize that I should know and my grandmother was great at making pies. Well long story short I never learned. I would really like to be able to make and roll my own, so ladies I am asking. I would need a good recipe, too.
