How are Germack Mixes packaged? Are they safe to eat?

Today I received an order of Germack Fruit & Nut mix (3 different jars). I have a question for those of you who order have ordered these products before...Is there some sort of seal on the plastic jar? The 3 jars I received have a plastic shrinkwrap-type of ring around the white lid. I was able to twist the lid & remove it with no effort. There was no type of seal covering the actual jar. Is this the way Germack packs it foods?

I called QVC customer service & they had no information to provide. They told me to return the item if I was uncomfortable & there would be no shipping charge...Think I'll call Germack next,but was wondering if this was how they normally packaged their food products.

Leery of consuming food that hasn't been properly sealed & protected...
