Me too!  I eat lots of potatoes and pasta!  Easy to fix and my GI tract likes it!

I have to watch my fiber and keep it low,  Love roasted veggies but can only eat a few at a time when I could eat the whole pan full!

Can't tolerate beans of any type!  I love them, raised on them.

I make more easy simple meals, but tasty!

Never been a sweets eater!  I like pound cake and flavored bread loaves.  Just a slice!  No weight problem!

I was raised on fried everything and with fatback grease in most vegetables. I rarely have anything fried now and definitely don't purchase fatback.

We rarely go out for meals anymore. We will occasionally do takeout, but have even reduced doing that very often.

Our meals at home are primarily fresh items and we don't limit any particular category. We do have been eating much smaller portions the last year or two. Both of us could stand to gain 15 lbs or so.

I look for the  lower sodium version of foods when possible. Long ago I switched to brown rice and whole wheat pasta. I eat a lot of salad and vegetables in general, but I always have. I should eat fewer carbs, but honestly I don't see that happening. As for buying organic, It just isn't a priority .

I've cut waaaay back on my sugar and salt consumption, and drink mostly water now...

However, I will treat myself to an occasional glass of sweet tea or a ginger ale.

For those brown rice lovers out there, I really like Lundberg Basmati Brown rice.  I think it cooks up great and has a really good taste.

I eat a lot less meat, I kind of lost my taste for it, still cook it for my husband.  I could live on beans, love them.

Like a few other posters said, I also have to eat what my digestive system will tolerate.  The main thing that's changed though is that I never drink carbonated beverages of any kind anymore.  When I stopped those, it made a huge difference.

Same old stuff here.  Never liked processed food and a while ago I cut out salt and any sweeteners too.  Guess it might be boring to some, but lots of veggies and fruit along with meat.  Do have a weakness for brown rice 🥰

@Still Raining

My default grain is brown rice.   I have some at least 5 nights out of 7.  I could eat it at every meal, but I do have some control, lol.

Re: How Is Your Diet Different Now?

Gosh, I pretty much eat the same I did 20 years ago.  I never was much of a cook and still am not, so we eat out a lot.  However, what I do cook is good, and mostly easy.  I'm not one to spend a lot of time planning meals.  I just want to eat when I'm hungry and not have to plan and cook it.  I generally cook dinner once a week  Besides that, it's eaat out, or eat frozen foods or a sandwich or maybe even just a bowl of cereal if my husband is out.  Usually, except on the night I cook, my biggest meal is lunch.  Then I'll just snack for dinner. Hate going to bed on a full stomach.

My Doctor isn't complaining.  In fact, he's quite happy with all my numbers.  I do get a good physical once a year, and he says to just keep doing whatever it is I'm doing.
