Oh!  Duh to me.  I thought you serious. heh

Maybe when no more New England Hot Dog Rolls exist, smaller hot dogs will be the only solution!  heh

my favorite is the brioche hot dog buns from THE FRESH MARKET.

KLT Brioche Hotdog Bun

these also work well for bigger hot dogs and more toppings.

i am pretty much a minimalist when it comes to hot dogs. kosher or beef hot dog, yellow mustard, chopped vidalia onions.

What about a Hoagie Roll?

It also says to use a potato roll?

It says online to steam your hot dog buns first to make them plumper. Steaming will make them softer with a pillowy texture.

My mom had a bun steamer when I was a kid.

You can steam a bun wrapped in a wet paper towel in the microwave a few seconds.

I don't eat hot dogs so I'm not much help.

DH makes all our bread, rolls etc.

This is similar to what I've bought, though not that brand. Local bakeries sell theirs in our grocery stores. I don't eat hot dogs, but everyone else does and they hold up well with Zweigle hots and their toppings. I also use them for meatball subs, which I do eat--with meatless "meatballs" lol.

@Natureluvr - were you able to order buns?  Did your husband like them?

@JeanLouiseFinch - I haven’t purchased any of the buns suggested yet but took screenshots of all recommendations and will definitely purchase one of those next time I buy hotdogs. I’ll report back once DH tries them. 😊

Aldi's has their Brioche Hot Dog buns on sale this week for $2.49. Love Brioche bread.
