So I couldn't plant any flowers at her burial site since she's inside and above ground so here's what I did...

Baked a sponge cake that she loved to make

Planted impatients

Made potato salad for dinner tonight but I just couldn't bring myself to use Miracle Whip (sorry mom)

but I was thinking of her all day and wish I could of given her one more hug.

I'm sure your mother is more pleased that you remember the sponge cake recipe and planted some of her favored flowers.  I'm sure she forgives the potato salad ingredient substitution.

Say her name, wish her a lovely day and keep the memories by doing what you did today.

Five will get me ten, she's in heaven saying - see, that's my daughter.

I think you paid beautiful tributes to your mother by remembering her in such special ways!

I know I'd be honored if my children continued traditions that I started...such is the circle of life!  I bet she smiled down on you all day, watching what you did...and I bet she looked the other way when you didn't use the Miracle Whip!! Smiley Happy
